We are now only nine weeks away from the May long weekend, which is the traditional outdoor planting weekend here in Ottawa. Even though it’s still too early to get gardening outside, there are lots of garden tasks that you can begin inside right now to set your garden up for great success this season!

Can you believe that the Summer CSA starts in just eleven weeks? It might sound a long way off, but before we know it the fields will be filled with the verdant abundance of spring and our bodies will be craving all things fresh and crunchy! We’re already more than half way to our member target for the season, so if you’ve been planning to renew your CSA membership we encourage you to reserve your spot soon!

We’re now your one-stop-shop for all things organic gardening. Frost protection, insect netting, and high quality organic soils, compost, and fertilisers are now all available in the online store. All are products we personally use at the Farm and are approved for use in organic farming.

Now that the greenhouse is heating up and the spring sun is getting higher in the sky, we are turning our attention more and more to the task of seed starting, which includes the vegetables, flowers, and herbs we’re growing for you!
