We've tried a few different CSAs over the last couple of years. The only one we returned to is Ottawa Farm Fresh. It's a super convenient location, the produce is fresh and organic, the staff and ownership is great, and the flexibility is unparalleled.
In the depths of winter, when the days are short and the ground is frozen, it’s easy to forget that this season has its own kind of abundance. We live in a world that offers us strawberries in February and tomatoes year-round, but what if winter isn’t something to escape from? What if it’s an invitation, to slow down, to rest, and to eat in a way that truly reflects where we are?
The turn of the year always feels a little magical on the Farm. A quiet pause. A deep breath.
The fields resting under snow while big ideas quietly germinate underground. Farming has a way of teaching us that time isn’t linear, it’s cyclical, rhythmic, and patient. As we step into 2026, we’re feeling deeply grateful to be right here, doing this work: growing food, tending soil, and feeding our community with intention and care.
The Farm Store is closed for the 2025 season, but we’re already excited to welcome you back when the Farm Store re-opens for the 2026 season on February 5!
As the 2025 season draws to a close, we find ourselves pausing in gratitude - taking a breath, looking back, and honouring all the year has held. This was our longest season ever, stretching from February to December, and like all seasons, it came with plenty of highs, a few lows, and lots of lessons along the way.
